Ruckus in DU's Law Faculty, lathicharge on students
police have lathicharged students protesting for extension of exam date to be held from december 26 in delhi University's Law Faculty. According to information received from sources, during the protest, the students closed the gate of the faculty and prevented the Dean from going out, due to which professor Dr. Anju Wali Tikku had to take the help of police. After this, a large number of police forces reached the campus and lathicharged the protesting students, the video of which is becoming increasingly viral.

At the same time, it can be seen in the viral video that the number of protesting students was between 300-400, which increased further by 12 o'clock in the night. Therefore, police forces also reached the campus in large numbers.

The police administration was appealing to the students to vacate the road, but the students remained adamant about their demands, due to which lathicharge was done on the students at around 1 am. The students say that they had organized a peaceful protest from morning to evening on 16 December. The protest was being done to extend the date of examinations of 1,3,5 semesters.
The students were asking for time to meet the Dean, but due to not being able to meet the Dean, the anger of the students kept increasing. The students demanded that they should get an extension of one to two weeks. The students claim that the syllabus has not been completed yet, due to which it is difficult to give the exam. At present, the examination to be held from 26 december has been put on hold by the Law Faculty administration and the new date will be released soon.
