White sheet of dew in field in Latur village

A sugarcane farmer in Latur's Nakuleshwar Borgaon village was shocked to see his field covered with a white sheet of icy dew, a phenomenon that is very rare to see in this dry district of central Maharashtra. When the farmer, Vitthal Salunke, went to his sugarcane field on monday morning, he came across the astonishing sight while watering the field. He found that the entire field was covered with a white sheet of frost as the winter cold had turned the dew into ice.

The farmer said that for a moment he felt he was in Kashmir. He said that he immediately checked the local temperature on his mobile phone and found out that the temperature was 6 degrees Celsius. Talking about this, he said, "I have been doing farming for 30 years, but this is the first time I saw that frozen dew turned my two-acre field into a sheet of ice. IMD mumbai scientist sushma Nair said that the minimum temperature will gradually increase in the next three to four days due to easterly winds, which will bring humidity.
