Will Eknath Shinde not get Home Ministry?
Reportedly there is a stir in maharashtra regarding cabinet expansion. Meanwhile, the bjp leader said that the cabinet expansion can happen on december 14. In view of this, chief minister devendra fadnavis and deputy cm Ajit Pawar are on a delhi tour today. However, shiv sena chief and deputy cm Eknath Shinde are not scheduled to come to Delhi. The Chief Minister's office told PTI that fadnavis will have courtesy calls on prime minister Narendra Modi, President draupadi murmu and Vice President jagdeep dhankhar for the first time after becoming the Chief Minister.
When speaking to PTI, a bjp leader said that shiv sena will not get the home Department and there is no possibility of the Revenue Department being allotted either. He admitted that the talks are getting delayed due to the presence of three parties in the Mahayuti - bjp, shiv sena and NCP. However, there is a possibility of cabinet expansion by december 14. He said that shiv sena has been denied the home Ministry. Let us tell you that in the government of Eknath Shinde, who was the cm for about two and a half years before fadnavis, devendra fadnavis was handling the home Ministry along with the Deputy CM. Now devendra fadnavis is the chief minister and Shinde is the Deputy Chief Minister. There is speculation that Eknath Shinde's party is demanding the home Ministry from BJP.
Furthermore on the condition of anonymity, the leader said that shiv sena can get urban development, but there is no possibility of getting revenue. He said that 21 to 22 ministers can be made from BJP's quota. Four to five ministerial posts can be kept vacant. There can be a maximum of 43 ministers in the maharashtra cabinet, including the Chief Minister. On december 5, devendra fadnavis took oath along with Shinde and ncp leader Ajit Pawar. The Mahayuti alliance in the state has won 230 out of 288 seats in the state assembly elections.
