According to sources Elon Musk, the owner of electric car manufacturing company tesla, is often in the headlines for his statements on social media. Elon Musk wrote in a post shared on X, if tesla becomes the most expensive company in the world, even microsoft co-founder bill gates can go bankrupt. At present, Tesla's market capitalization is $1.251 trillion, which is far behind the world's largest company apple Inc. apple leads this list with $3.729 trillion. If tesla has to get the first position in the list, then for this the company will need to increase its market capitalization by about 200 percent.

Meanwhile Elon Musk has written in his tweet, if tesla becomes the most valuable company in the world, then that short position will make bill gates bankrupt. Taking a short position in the stock market means that even though the investor does not have any stock, he borrows it from the broker and sells it with the hope that its price will fall later and then he will sell it at a higher price. Its purpose is to earn profit from the fall in the price of the stock.

Furthermore Elon Musk has accused bill gates of placing a bet of about $ 2 billion against tesla, due to which Gates has allegedly suffered a loss of $ 1.5 billion. This is mentioned in Musk's biography written by Walter Isaacson in the year 2023. During this, an old tweet of Musk went viral, in which he said that "taking a short position against tesla, as Gates has done, gives the highest returns only when a company goes bankrupt!" He said that Gates had made this bet when the company was going through a bad phase. Gates had set a target of earning $ 500 million with this. Whereas this year Tesla's stock has jumped by 56.91 percent. The reason behind this is Trump's victory in 2024 and Musk's strengthening relationship with him.
