Ancient temple and stepwell found during JCB excavation?
Local administration discovered ancient temple and stepwell in Chandausi area of sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. sambhal administration identified stepwell and an ancient temple named Banke Bihari in Laxmanganj area of Chandausi on saturday (21 December). It is being claimed that the ancient Banke Bihari temple located in Laxmanganj of sambhal was vandalized by people of a particular religion in May 2010. This vandalism was such that its marks are visible even after 14 years. There is a Gauri Patta in the temple but the Shivlinga installed on it is missing.
Anarchic elements had vandalized it
The pictures of god made on tiles are broken at many places here. It is alleged that 14 years ago, anti-social elements broke these pictures with stones. ABP news also has a copy of the complaint lodged in Chandausi police station in May 2010, in which complainant Kaushal kishore told the police how miscreants vandalized the temple and broke the idols by pelting stones at them. After meeting the complainant of the case, Kaushal Kishore, many important information was received. Kaushal kishore mentioned the alleged incident that happened 14 years ago in the concerned temple. During this, he also showed those places of the temple where vandalism was done in the year 2010.
Search for ancient temples continues
Let us tell you, excavation is being done in Chandausi of Sambhal. During this excavation, Banke Bihari temple and stepwell have been found. This excavation is being done on the complaint of Kaushal Kishore. Kaushal kishore had complained about this by writing a letter to the DM of sambhal a few days ago.
Recently, the ancient kartikeya Mahadev temple located in Khaggu Sarai area of sambhal was found. After this, the doors of the temple were opened after 46 years. On 14 December, the DM and SP had the lock of the ancient kartikeya Mahadev temple opened. Now a large number of devotees have started visiting this temple.
