41 lakhs spent, still new road is cleaned with broom!
A road has been built in Uttar Pradesh which people have started sweeping with a broom. people are sweeping the gravel from the road like soil. This is the case of the road of Hallaur Nagara in Bankati block area of Basti, which was built in the year 2016 under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana. It was repaired just 7 days ago and from contractors to officials, this road was photographed.
Apart from this, the one kilometer road from Audjangal Tiraha of Basti to Surajpur village was recently repaired by the department of the district Panchayat. But here also the same thing happened, the ritual of taking a photo was performed and then as soon as the broom was applied, the gravel started jumping out like popcorn.
The gravel of the 855 meter long road built by the district Panchayat from Audjangal Tiraha to Surajpur village of Saltua development block of Basti district started getting uprooted within a week. Angered by this, the villagers protested on the road. This road was constructed at a cost of 41 lakh 47 thousand seven hundred. The quality of the road is so bad that half of the pebbles have been uprooted.
The pebbles are also getting uprooted on their own
The villagers were questioning the quality from the very beginning. But the responsible people did not listen to them. The villagers say that the pebbles are getting uprooted due to the passing of the tractor trolley and applying brakes. Not only this, the pebbles are also getting uprooted on their own.
What did the district Magistrate say?
district Magistrate Ravish Kumar Gupta took cognizance of the matter, after which when the junior engineer manish Chaudhary, the engineer who built the wonderful road of the district Panchayat, was talked to, he told that information has been received about the pebbles of the road getting uprooted. I went to the spot, the contractor has been instructed to repair the road.
