Why UPSC, SSC and RRB made Aadhaar verification mandatory?

Perhaps who doesn't know pooja Khedkar, a 2023 batch trainee IAS of maharashtra cadre. She is known for controversies. After being selected as an IAS, she was dismissed from service during training itself. Also, she has been barred from appearing in all future examinations conducted by the commission. Khedkar's controversy came to the fore when she was allegedly found using red and blue lights on her personal car. Later, she was dismissed for getting a job on the basis of fake medical and OBC certificates. In view of pooja Khedkar's appointment to dismissal, major changes have also been made in the process of appointment in government jobs.

Meanwhile the year 2024 is about to pass. In the year 2024, trainee IAS pooja Khedkar of maharashtra cadre was in the news a lot. The Union Public service Commission had dismissed her for getting a job on the basis of fake medical and caste certificates. When such a case came to light, a major change was made in the process of central government jobs. Learning from the pooja Khedkar case, UPSC made aadhar verification of candidates mandatory in all its recruitments. Now the application of any candidate will not be accepted without aadhar verification. Earlier, aadhar verification was not mandatory in the recruitments of the commission. After UPSC, many state commissions have also made many changes in the recruitment process. Staff Selection Commission and Railway Recruitment Board also issued a notice making aadhar verification of candidates mandatory in all recruitments.

Moreover before becoming an IAS, Khedkar was the Assistant director of sports Authority of india in november 2021. Then she passed the UPSC Civil services Examination and was selected for IAS. While she was still in her IAS training period, she started making headlines because of her antics. She installed a red light on her personal vehicle. Not only this, when she was posted in pune district of maharashtra, she also occupied the chamber of Additional collector Ajay More without permission.
