Reportedly in the politics of Uttar Pradesh, the year 2024 was important for the bharatiya janata party, indian National congress, Samajwadi party and Bahujan Samaj party in different ways. On one hand, while the Samajwadi party created history under the leadership of National President Akhilesh Yadav, the congress drought in the state ended after a decade. On the other hand, the bharatiya janata party, which was continuously occupying more than 60 lok sabha seats since 2014, suffered a setback. Despite all the efforts, the result for the Bahujan Samaj party was zero.

Perhaps the path to Delhi's politics passes through Uttar Pradesh, this was proved in the year 2024. In the unexpected result of the lok sabha elections, the SP won the highest number of 37 seats in history. congress, which was swinging between 1-2 seats since 2014, also got 6 MPs. At the same time, the slogan of crossing 400 of the bharatiya janata party suffered a major setback and the party was reduced to only 33 seats. Its allies in the state, Apna Dal (Sonelal) and RLD also won 1 and 2 seats respectively.

Moreover in the lok sabha elections, SP and congress contested the elections by seat sharing under the india Alliance. The happiness of SP and congress, who were excited by the victory in the lok sabha, did not last long. Within 4 months, elections were held on assembly seats. SP contested on all 9 seats. congress was demanding at least 5 seats but SP was ready for only 1-2 seats. After this, the party decided not to participate in the by-elections. Fighting on all the seats, SP won only 2 seats. bjp created history on Kundarki seat and won despite being a Muslim-dominated area. SP was successful in saving only Karhal and Sisamau. However, the margin of victory and defeat was less compared to the assembly elections of the year 2022. At the same time, bjp tried to heal the wounds received in the lok sabha elections by winning seven seats.
