MCD alert before Christmas and New Year celebrations!
In a notice issued to the district health officials on Tuesday, the Municipal Corporation of delhi (MCD) has emphadata-sized that traders often allow more customers than permitted, encroach on public places and do business without license or in temporary areas, especially during the festive season at the end of the year.
Dealing with the problem of crowd is an important challenge
MCD has expressed concern that in the past years, on the occasion of festivals, more people than the fixed seats are allowed to enter restaurants, banquet halls, clubs and markets. This is a serious violation. MCD has said that this also leads to a decline in the quality of food items and increases excessive pressure on restaurants and food corners. Due to this, the possibility of any kind of accident increases significantly.
Along with this, MCD has also issued notices for businesses encroaching on public places. MCD has also expressed concern about unlicensed food corners in its notice. MCD has directed to investigate such violations and conduct illegal inspections to protect public health and safety.
