Chairman of Maharashtra Waqf Board met farmers in Latur!

The matter of farmers getting notices from the Waqf Board in maharashtra is getting heated. Meanwhile, Chairman of maharashtra State Waqf Board, sameer Kazi, on wednesday met some of the farmers of Latur district who have received notices from the Waqf Tribunal regarding the ownership of their land. Kazi said that the farmers need not panic and contrary to the claim of the petitioner, the concerned land is not listed in the gazette of the board. A total of 103 farmers of Talegaon and 25 farmers of Budhoda have received notices from the tribunal, as a person has filed a petition claiming that his total 300 acres of land is Waqf property. Farmers say that they have been farming on these lands for several generations. After visiting Budhoda village of Ausa tehsil, Kazi told the news agency that there is no need for farmers to panic.

Interests of farmers will be protected

Qazi clarified that the Waqf Board has not issued any notice. He said that the notices were sent in response to a petition by a person on behalf of the maharashtra State Waqf Tribunal in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. He said, "The Waqf Board is committed to ensuring justice. The disputed land is not registered in our gazette and the matter is currently under legal review in the tribunal. Farmers should be assured that their interests will be protected."

What is the whole matter of Latur Waqf?

Let us tell you that 103 farmers of Latur district simultaneously received a notice from the Waqf Board regarding the land. During this time, it was claimed in the notice that this land belongs to the Waqf Board. So they should stop farming here. After this notice, the concern of the farmers farming here has increased. However, the board has denied sending the notice on its own.
