The police does not want to take any kind of laxity
According to the information received from the police officer, police forces will be deployed at hotels, pubs, malls and other party places on New Year's Eve for the New Year celebrations. For which necessary instructions have also been given to all the local police stations. In view of the Republic Day celebrations in january and the assembly elections in February, delhi police does not want to take any laxity.
Necessary guidelines related to surveillance have been given to the Special Cell, Crime Branch, different units of all districts, local police stations. At the same time, suspects are being monitored by patrolling at PCOC, QRT and beat level. Apart from this, monitoring is also being done through CCTV cameras.
Special attention on security in Connaught Place area
The officer said that on the occasion of New Year, the most movement is in Connaught Place area of Delhi. In such a situation, security arrangements have also been tightened here. In view of the security of foreign tourists, those places have been identified where there is more movement of foreign tourists. Commando squads will be deployed in Connaught Place to thwart the terrorist threat on New Year's night, while bomb squads and dog squads will be on continuous movement. Apart from this, guidelines have also been issued to all big hotels including five star hotels to make additional security arrangements. At the same time, police forces will also be deployed in civil dress.
