BJP 'Plot' Afoot To Stop Robert Vadra's Entry Into Politics? Bizman Reacts To ED Summons
Vadra has been summoned in the laundering case linked to a land deal in Haryana for the second time. He was earlier asked to appear before the agency on april 8, but he did not depose
Vadra, the brother-in-law of congress MP rahul Gandhi, said there is "nothing" in the case. "For the last twenty years, I have been summoned 15 times and interrogated for more than 10 hours every time. I have submitted 23,000 documents," he said.
Calling the summons "political vendetta by the BJP", Vadra added, "Whenever I raise the people's voice, they try to suppress me. I have nothing to hide. They can ask me whatever they want and I'll answer them."
Once he appears before the ED, the agency will record his statement under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), PTI reported, quoting sources. Vadra was earlier questioned by the federal probe agency in a different money laundering case.
