A major improvement in travel ticketing has been introduced for commuters in the Delhi‑NCR region: passengers can now book both indian Railways train tickets and Namo Bharat tickets through the same wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital platform, making travel planning more seamless than before.

The initiative is part of a collaboration between the National capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) — which runs the Namo Bharat Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) — and the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC).

🧭 What’s New? One‑Stop Booking for train and Namo Bharat Tickets

Previously, passengers had to use separate apps or platforms to buy tickets:

  • IRCTC rail Connect or other official apps for indian Railways reserved and general tickets.
  • Namo Bharat Connect App for RRTS ticketing.
Now, a seamless ticketing linkage allows users to handle both journeys in one go:

  • If you book an indian Railways ticket first, you can also book a Namo Bharat ticket right from within the same app interdata-face.
  • Conversely, if you start with the Namo Bharat app, a link takes you to the railway booking section so you can get your train ticket without switching between platforms.
This feature simplifies travel planning for commuters who use both services — especially those travelling from outside delhi into the NCR region and then onward on Namo Bharat routes.

📱 How to Book Both Tickets With One App

Here’s the general process commuters now follow:

 1. Open the irctc rail Connect or Linked Platform

  • Launch the IRCTC rail Connect mobile app on your phone.
  • Log in with your registered credentials or create an account if you’re a new user.
 2. Select Your indian Railways train Journey

  • Enter your boarding and destination stations, travel date, and passenger details.
  • Choose the train and class, check seat availability, and make payment to book your train ticket.
 3. Book Your Namo Bharat Ticket in the Same Flow

  • After confirming your train ticket, look for the NCRTC/Namo Bharat booking icon or link within the app.
  • Tap it to proceed to the Namo Bharat ticketing section without leaving the app.
  • Select your Namo Bharat boarding and ending stations, travel class (Standard or Premium), and passenger count.
  • Complete the payment and receive the ticket — usually as a QR code on your phone.
🛫 4. Use the Same Ticket at Stations

  • For indian Railways trains, show the wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital or printed ticket as usual.
  • For Namo Bharat rides, present the QR code at the gate or to the conductor to board the train.
🌐 What This Means for Commuters

This improved ticketing setup reduces the hassle of juggling multiple apps, saves time, and supports smoother multi‑modal travel — especially for people commuting long distances and then using the high‑speed Namo Bharat service.

The move also data-aligns with broader efforts like the “One India‑One Ticket” vision and integrated QR ticketing frameworks, which aim to unify ticketing across metro, RRTS, and other transport networks in India.
