2️⃣ 📞 Update Your mobile Number Using the App

Previously, changing your Aadhaar mobile number required an in‑person visit to an enrolment centre. That’s now changed:

✅ You can update your Aadhaar‑linked mobile number directly from the Aadhaar app without visiting a centre.
✅ The app uses OTP verification and data-face authentication to confirm your identity.
✅ A small processing fee (about ₹75) applies.
✅ Updates usually reflect in about 15 days (sometimes sooner).

How it works:

Open the Aadhaar app and log in.

Enter your new mobile number and verify it with an OTP.

While mobile number and address can now be updated digitally, other Aadhaar changes still need an enrolment centre:

❌ Date of birth correction in most cases

UIDAI uses high‑security checks (like data-face authentication) for online updates, but centre‑based biometric verification remains necessary for certain changes.
