- Within one year of birth,
- At the time of admission to Class 1, 6, 9, 11, or
- At the time of admission to a recognised graduation/diploma course.
Applications will be processed
fully online, eliminating the need for physical visits to government offices.
💸 What Financial Support Will Be Provided?Under the Lakhpati Bitiya Yojana, the government will deposit
up to ₹56,000 in the girl’s
Aadhaar‑linked bank account in stages tied to educational progress. With interest, this will
grow to over ₹1 lakh by maturity.Typical instalments include amounts paid:
- At birth,
- On school admission milestones, and
- During higher education (graduation/diploma).
The total amount becomes payable
when the girl either:
- Completes Class 12 and is 18+ years old, or
- Completes graduation/diploma and is 21+ years old.
If key education benchmarks are not met (e.g., not finishing Class 12 by age 21), the funds
may revert to the government.
