  • This helps ensure the victim reaches care quickly, ideally within the critical “Golden Hour.”

Under PM RAHAT:

  • Hospitals are reimbursed through the Motor Vehicle accident Fund (MVAF).
  • If the accident involves an insured vehicle, money comes partly from insurance companies’ contributions.
  • In cases of uninsured vehicles or hit‑and‑run, the government pays from its budget.
  • Claims are generally processed and settled within about 10 days.
