The Indian postal Department (DoP) has taken a major step forward in modernising its logistics network by launching a new premium service called “24 Speed Post,” aimed at delivering urgent consignments within 24 hours (next‑day delivery). The service was formally unveiled on March 17, 2026, by Union minister for Communications Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia in New Delhi.

Items up to 5 kg can use the 24 Speed Post services, making it suitable for both documents and lightweight parcels.
