FASTag and where it’s applicable from north to south on India’s national highways
✔ The pass is tied to your existing FASTag and does not require purchasing a new tag.🛑 Important: This annual pass does not cover state‑run highways or state expressways that aren’t under NHAI control — even if they serve as important routes in your region.🌍 2. Which Highways Across india Accept FASTag / Annual PassFASTag acceptance is nationwide on all NHAI national highways — meaning if you’re travelling from north to south, east or west, the system covers:🛣️ Major corridors where FASTag is accepted
- The longest north–south route, National Highway 44, from Srinagar to Kanyakumari — covering states like J&K, Punjab, Haryana, UP, mp, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, karnataka and tamil Nadu — fully supports FASTag tolling.
- NH 48 (Delhi–Mumbai–Bengaluru–Chennai linkage),
- NH 16 (Kolkata–Chennai),
- NH 19 (Delhi–Kolkata via mp & UP), and
- other large corridors across india accept FASTag — and are included in the Annual Pass network.
- Yamuna Expressway (Uttar Pradesh) — state‑level control, so Annual Pass isn’t accepted.
- Other state expressway tolls — similarly not covered.
- New toll rules include e‑notices for unpaid tolls, stronger enforcement, and dispute resolution provisions.
- From April 1, 2026, digital payments via FASTag or UPI are mandatory on expressways like the Delhi‑Meerut Expressway, with toll rate hikes (~5%) on several NH corridors.
✅ In regions where expressways or highways are state‑controlled, be prepared to pay regular FASTag tolls or check with local authorities if the Annual Pass is accepted.🚘 Tips Before You Travel✔ Make sure your FASTag is active and linked to your vehicle.
✔ If you plan extensive highway travel, consider buying the Annual FASTag Pass before April 1, 2026 to save with the older (lower) rate.
✔ Keep some FASTag wallet balance handy — for state highways/expressways not covered by the Annual Pass.
