The Zika Virus has caused a nation wide panic in Latin America. Brazil which is sensitive to Zika Virus has been facing huge threat. So there has been a huge demand for Mosquito repellants. The virus itself was detected from Brazil in April. Now it has spread to 26 Countries in the Americas.

The World Health Organization(WHO) declared Zika as an International health emergency. Brazil's Government is still investigating the link between Zika and 4,000 suspected cases of microcephaly. Researchers found evidence of Zika in 17 of those cases.

But they were unable to confirm that the virus was the cause of the condition. Brazil is looking for some sort of repellent which should protect against Zika. But so far it has never endorsed any product.

Now one of the companies said, it was increasing the production as there has been more demand for repellents in Brazil. Reckitt Benckiser said it was raising output of Repelex to meet demand. Ron Harris who is an Entomologist at Extermination company Orkin said, "There is a huge demand and this is not a surprise as Virus escalates us."
