Is Salary hike necessary for MLA's ?

Sekar Chandra
Few days back we reported that Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekar Rao has decided to hike salary of MLA's and MLC's by 400%. He was also discussing the facts with his officials and he decided to implement that.

Now Congress senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP V.Hanumantha Rao has advised Chief Minister K.Chandrasekar Rao to reconsider the decision. Hanumantha Rao who spoke to media said it is wrong time to increase wages of legislators.

This is the time where farmers are committing suicide due to financial constraints. And also the Government is yet to clear scholarship dues of thousands of students. So with these troubles, it is not advisable to hike the salary of MLA's.

Hanumantha Rao also requested Chief Minister to participate in the birth anniversary of Damodar Sajeevaiah on 14th February. He said Damodar Sajeeviah hailed from Andhra region, he was the first Dalit CM of the then united AP. Will KCR listen to Hanumantha Rao's words ? Fingers crossed.
