Girl jumps to death after scoring low in IIT-JEE
A 17 Year old girl who was studying at a coaching institute in Kota, allegedly jumped to her death as she was completely disappointed with her scores in IIT-JEE. This is the fifth case of student suicide in Kota this year. JEE Main results were announced day before Yesterday.
As per police reports, the girl named Kirti has jumped from the fifth floor of the building she was staying in. Harish Bharti who is the Sub Inspector from Jawharnagar Police station said,
"She was disappointed with her low scores and has taken this extreme step. She was disappointed and crest fallen. Even though she was taken to MBS hospital immediately, doctors declared her brought dead.
A suicide note was also recovered from the room." Kriti's father is still in shock and he is unable to speak. The body was handed over to family members after postmortem and more investigation in the matter is underway. Police have already lodged a case.
