With Telangana having celebrated its second birthday in an ultra
luxurious manner, the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) as well the
opposition BJP are now at loggerheads over Prime Minister Narendra Modi
not showing any interest to visit the region so far.
While
TRS has been cribbing about Modi's no-show right from Telangana came
into being, BJP has accused that the state government had never extended
any proper invitation to the PM. The only state he has not visited so
far is Telangana, according to the TRS LS member Bura Narasaiah Goud.
Modi's
so called `neglect' of Telangana has become a constant issue between
two sides despite their open bonhomie. At the same time, CM KCR
ridiculed BJP chief and strong man Amit Shah’s recent statement that
Telangana didn’t ask for any drought funds.
KCR
reportedly added that they requested Centre for Rs.3000 crores and were
only given 700 crores. He labelled the BJP chief’s comments as cheap
and also blasted him for saying that TRS is yet to file its application
for joining NDA! Wonder what Amit Shah has to say to this.
