Modi-Amit Shah

Amit Shah,Parshottam Rupala, Nitin Patel, Vijay Rupani, Bhikhubhai Dalsaniya,Shankar Chaudhary are the front runners for the coveted post. Amit Shah is considered the most likely choice but the question is will PM Modi sacrifice his party president a head of key elections in Uttar Pradesh,Goa and Gujarat. Parashottam Rupala was in contention when Modi became PM but Modi preferred his rival Anandiben. He was sidelined for many years for Amit Shah.

Nitin patel is no 2 in the cabinet and he has good rapport with Modi and Amit Shah. He was deputed by the duo to solve Patidar crisis. Vijay Rupani is the most non cotroversial and has high acceptance. Bhikubhai Dalsaniya is powerful leader in the party but is not known outside the party. Shankar Chowdhary has slim chance if BJP prefers OBC leader as CM.
