Indian army facing overweight troubles?

Indian Army is known for its bravery and valour. It is regarded as one of the best army in the world. But in a shocker it is comingout that Indian Army is facing overweight troubles. 


It is comingout that Army brought heavy artillery to fight the problem of obesity in the ranks. It also laid new set of instructions as overweight personnel cause public embarrassment for the army. 


Army is stung by the top government officials criticism on the expanding waistlines of some officers in its force. Army Head Quarters prescribed stringent measures to nip it in bud. 


The instruction sent to all commands read "The issue has serious ramifications, not only affecting combat readiness+ but also leading to avoidable ailments resulting in reduced life span in addition to public embarrassment due to slovenly appearance in uniform," 


Officers and soldiers will be subjected to an annual obesity evaluation examination and set of photographs would be attached to their evaluation files if they appear to be overweight.  


Army is also considering bar on overweight personnel for career courses, tenures at A class cities and also fro foreign postings. 


They willnot be allowed for reemployment and lost career advancement. The crackdown on obesity came as a personal initiative of Army chief Dalbir Singh popular for his exceptional fitness who still finds time to run 10 km daily.
