IND-China talks to combat terror


India and China discussed ways to combat terror by enhancing security and cooperation with each other. Officials from both sides exchanged information on policies and legislation to deal with terrorism at the first high-level dialogue where they reached "important consensus".This is the first meeting of the India- China High Level Dialogue on Counter-terrorism and Security in Beijing. 


Schools,offices closed in Taiwan ahead of island wide typhoon


Taiwan closed schools and offices and evacuated people in dangerous areas have been evacuated as a large typhoon with 162 kilometers- (100 miles per hour winds approaches the island.


Bus tragedy in Nepal kills 14


Bus tragedy in Nepal resulted in death of atleast 14 people on Tuesday. The bus carrying more than the required number of passengers both inside and on the roof, slipped off a mountain road. The road was covered in parts by mud from landslides according to the official of Dhading District. 


Powerful earthquake in Japan


Earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.7 has rattled Okinawa and other southern Japanese islands but there was no danger of a tsunami. Japan Meteorological Agency said the quake occurred at 2:20 PM on Monday off the coast of Okinawa, at the depth of 40 kilometers below the sea surdata-face.A magnitude 5.5 quake occurred just off the southern coast of Hokkaido, Japan's northernmost main island at 2:13 PM. 


Bombs explode in Mosque in Germany


Two explosions rocked in a mosque and conference centre in Dresden, Germany. Police  president Horst Kretschmar said “Even though we do not have a letter of confession, we must assume there’s a xenophobic background,”.Police found pieces of a homemade explosive device in front of the conference centre and the mosque.

IND summon Pak envoy


Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar summoned Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit on Tuesday and presented him with proof of cross-data-border origins of Uri attack, where 18 Army personnel were killed by terrorists. The identify of one of the slain Uri attackers was also revealed during the meeting, said MEA spokesperson Vikas Swarup. 


Ind to review MFN status to Pak


PM Modi led Indian government in the latest diplomatic offensive after the terrorist strike on army base in Uri,Jammu and Kashmir decided to review the Most Favoured Nation status to Pakistan. India has given MFN status unilaterally to Pakistan and till now Pak didnot reciprocate. PM Modi will have a review meeting on 29 of September along with officials from External Affairs Ministry and Commerce Ministry. 


Supreme Court give another shock to Karnataka


Supreme Court once again gave another shock to Karnataka over cauvery water sharing issue. It is known that Karnataka defied all its orders to release water to Tamil Nadu and once again appealed to Supreme Court that it can give water only in January. Hearing its plea, Supreme Court on Tuesday asked Karnataka to release 6000 cusecs of water for two days to Tamil Nadu to show its bona fide.


SC directs CBI to issue notice to Azam Khan


The Supreme Court expressed unhappiness on Tuesday over non-appearance of Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan through his lawyer in connection with the Bulandshahr gangrape case and asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to serve a fresh notice to the Samajwadi Party leader.


Sensors to catch infiltrators under water


Indian government is planning an indigenous sensor technology that can detect infiltrators under water will be part of an anti-infiltration technical grid that will also include laser walls, ground sensors and thermal imagers at various riverine gaps on the data-border in Jammu and Punjab.
