Meanwhile when talking to reporters after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, Mr. Panneerselvam said Mr. Modi patiently listened to the demands raised by him. “He [Prime Minister] said the Supreme Court’s judgment on Centre’s notification was being awaited and the Centre would be supportive of the action that would be taken by the State government on the issue,” Mr. Panneerselvam has said.
Panneerselvam has added that 'I would like to say that along with the Centre, we [Tamil Nadu government] would immediately take steps to ensure Jallikattu is conducted. You will soon see the action of the State government'.
