1.  Somalian pirates hijack dhow with 10 Indian crew members :  Pirates have hijacked an Indian dhow off the coast of Somalia, which had 10 crew members from Gujarat when it was en route to Bosaso from Dubai. The vessel was hijacked in the vicinity of Socotra (Island).
2.  ED attaches assets worth 12 crore in Rajasthan scam linked to Chidambaram's son :  The Enforcement Directorate on Monday attached assets worth around Rs 12 crore in connection with the '108 Ambulance Service' scam in Rajasthan in which the CBI registered an FIR against former chief minister Ashok Ghelot in 2015.
3.  We are investigating Chidambaram's role in Aircel-Maxis case: CBI to Supreme Court :  The CBI informed the Supreme Court on Monday that it was investigating former finance minister P Chidambaram's role in the alleged illegality of permitting Malaysian firm Maxis to acquire 100% stake in Aircel directly and indirectly through FDI in 2006.
4.  Ram Jethmalani offers to defend Arvind Kejriwal for 'free' :  Senior advocate Ram Jethmalani on Tuesday offered to defend Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal for free in the court, if the latter is not able to pay his fees.
5.  Pakistan violates ceasefire in Rajouri, second incident of unprovoked firing in two days :  Pakistani troops on Tuesday resorted to mortar shelling and firing by automatic weapons along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, prompting the Army to retaliate.
6.  China shouldn't interfere in India's internal affairs: Rijiju on Dalai Lama's visit :   Amid persistent Chinese objections to the Dalai Lama's trip to Arunachal Pradesh, India said on that no "artificial controversy" should be created around the Tibetan spiritual leader's visit.
7.  UP's Yogi Adityanath govt to set up 25 courts for speedy disposal of cases against SCs, STs :   The new government in Uttar Pradesh will soon initiate a process to set up 25 courts to ensure speedy disposal of cases registered under the law to prevent atrocities against scheduled castes and tribes.
8.  Aadhaar is secure, concerns misplaced: Ravi Shankar Prasad, Minister for Electronics and IT :  Security concerns pertaining to Aadhaar are misplaced and the system is robust and secure, Union Minister for Electronics and IT Ravi Shankar Prasad said in an interview to ET. The minister attributed part of the negative campaign around Aadhaar to vested interests and said the Congress party should be happy that the Narendra Modi government is carrying forward its legacy
9.  ED says Himachal CM Virbhadra Singh used shell companies to buy farmhouse worth Rs 27 crore :  The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has claimed that Himachal Pradesh chief minister Virbhadra Singh had used shell companies to purchase a farmhouse in Delhi and settled the deal by paying Rs 5.41 crore in unaccounted cash, besides Rs 1.20 crore through cheques, from a company in which his son and daughter are directors and shareholders.

2.  Russia metro attack staged by Kyrgyz suicide bomber: Kyrgyzstan :  A suicide bomber from Kyrgyzstan was behind the explosion that killed 11 people and injured dozens more in the Saint Petersburg metro, security services in the Central Asian country said on Tuesday.
3.  Russian news site Fontanka publishes photo of supposed blast suspect :  Russian online news outlet Fontanka has published the photo of a person whom it said police were seeking over Monday's deadly blast on board a St Petersburg metro train.
4.  Putin lays flowers at blast site in Saint Petersburg :  Russian President Vladimir Putin went to lay flowers on late Monday at the scene of the deadly blast that hit Saint Petersburg's metro, an AFP photographer said.
5.  Saudi Arabia increases fighter pilots' pay by up to 60 percent :  The Saudi cabinetannounced a pay increase of up to 60 percent for air force pilots on Monday, state news agency SPA reported, as a military campaign led by the kingdom in neighbouring Yemen entered its third year.
6.  Syrian government intensifies attacks around Damascus, Hama :  Syrian activists say government forces have intensified their bombardment of opposition-held areas around Damascus and the central city of Hama.
