Babar's shocker about cow slaughter

Controversy over cow slaughter is increasing tempers among various sections of the people across the country. While Union Government led by PM  Modi issued circular banning cow slaughter, opposition opposed it vehemently so much so that Congress party workers shocked all by butchering a calf in broad
day light
in Kerala. 


In the midst of all this Hyderabad High Court came with a sensational ruling on cow slaughter. Justice B Siva Sankara Rao of the Hyderabad High Court asked the state governments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh and stating that cow is a sacred national wealth and that it a substitute 
to
 mother and 
God,directed
 the governments to make the provisions of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and IPC section 429 more stringent by making the offences under the Act 
non bailable
.


He also said Moghul Emperor Babar prohibited the slaughter of cows as a religious sacrifice and even directed his son Humayun to follow this example. 


He said even 
Akbar,Jehangir
 and Ahmad Shah prohibited cow slaughter. He said in Maharaja Ranjit 
singh's
  
kindgom
 cow slaughter invited capital punishment. He also said Nawab 
Hydera
 Ali of Mysore too made cow slaughter an 
offence
.
