Driver of speeding truck lost control, hits 5 cars near AIIMS in Delhi

Sources from New Delhi have stated that three persons, including a child, were injured in Delhi after the driver of a truck lost control over the vehicle, which jumped over the divider near AIIMS and hit five cars on the other side of the road in the early in the morning on Sunday.



It was stated that the incident had happened at around 01:15 am when the truck, coming from Dhaula Kuan, hit the railing on ring road near the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and crossed over to the other side. According to sources five cars were damaged and three persons sustained minor injuries and the truck driver managed to escape and a manhunt has been launched after a case was registered on the complaint of one of the injured, Mohan Gupta.


The police said that Mr. Gupta was discharged after treatment, while another person, Kishore is undergoing treatment at the hospital and is said to be out of danger. Moreover it was suspected that the truck was being driven at a high speed and the driver lost control over the vehicle.
