Telangana govt gives awards for Websites following norms
Hyderabad sources have stated that the Telangana government would institute awards for websites that adhere to guidelines laid out by the Centre and various other best practices prescribed by regulatory bodies.
Meanwhile, information technology department principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan added that "Telangana has been a pioneer in implementing e-governance in a big way. Since usage of mobiles will go up dramatically in the near future and beyond, we are now taking up m-governance seriously and try to achieve a preeminent position in that segment as well".
Moreover, an official release quoted Ranjan as saying at a workshop here by offering all the services and information online which was hitherto available offline becomes an utmost priority.
