Why assembly by-polls in Andhra's Nandyal is so crucial??

The hottest news today is the assembly by-polls and  elections are conducted on four seats in three states – in Goa’s Valpoi , Andhra Pradesh’s Nandyal, Delhi’s Bawana and Panaji.But amongst all the four Nandyal gains the attention.Nandyal, in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district, Its older name was Varanasi.This gains its importance and has some special things to mention.In 1991 elections Nandyal sent PV Narasimha Rao,who then became the prime minister of the country.




Now the crucial by-poll in Nandyal has been made necessary by the sudden death of the sitting MLA – Bhuma Venkata Nagi Reddy. Interestingly, P.V Narasimha Rao had defeated Bhuma Nagi Reddy, the TDP candidate, in the 1996 Lok Sabha elections. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the party supreme the  ruling TDP, has made winning Nandyal election a true prestige issue



Jaganmohan has put his heart and flesh to the ground level into the campaign which forced Naidu to take it as a serious issue.Would Nandyal elections signal the rise of Jaganmohan in Andhra and national politics? The counting of votes of all the  four by-polls is on August 28.
