Arrival of Kia Motors & Toyota Motors the major reason for Honda looking at AP
According to sources the successor state of Andhra Pradesh is soon emerging as the hub for automobile industry. After world's famous Kia Motors arrived to AP, Toyota Motors is on the verge of signing the deal with AP to set up its plant for the Hybrid Vehicles manufacturing in AP. This is a huge step for the industrial sector of AP given that it has beaten the states like Maharashtra, Gujarat and bagged Toyota.
Meanwhile joining the bandwagon is Japanese automobile giant Honda which is also toying with the idea of starting its unit in AP. While Honda already has a plant in Karnataka that manufactures 6600 motor cycle units, the automobile firm is planning to set up a bigger capacity unit in Andhra Pradesh.
Moreover talk is that Honda is considering districts such as Kurnool, Anantapur and Chittoor to start its plant. It is of the opinion that one of these districts could be ideal for transportation to Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. If Honda arrives, this would be another feather in the cap of AP.
