YSRCP serious on issues of Special Category Status, Polavaram Project, FRDI Bill, Defections

According to sources in the upcoming Parliament Winter Session that is going to be held from December 15, Opposition YSR Congress Party is going to take up the issue of granting Special Category Status (SCS) to the successor state of Andhra Pradesh. YSRCP MPs are instructed to raise the issue seriously in the coming Lok Sabha session.



Meanwhile the decision was taken by YSRCP president and Opposition leader YS Jagan during his meeting with the party's top leaders in Anantapur. Jagan has given guidelines to YSRCP MPs on the party's stand in the Parliament and further the YSRCP MPs are expected to raise the issue of Special Category Status to AP as promised by the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and then Opposition BJP which is now in the power at the Centre.


Moreover apart from the Special Category Status, YSRCP also plans to bring up a discussion on the provisions of the Financial Resolution and Deposit Insurance Bill 2017 (FRDI Bill), the Polavaram Project, and defections in Parliament. V. Vijay Sai Reddy, Rajya Sabha MP and YSRCP general secretary confirmed the development to media.
