Prime minister and his 600 letters!

With the continuing silence of the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the violence and sexual abuse against women in the country, students from more than 637 universities and educational institutions across the world have sent him letters asking him to open up and take strong actions against such crimes. In India, there have been numerous cases of violence and sexual harassment against women in recent times, besides killings and suppression of downtrodden sections of the society.

Despite the involvement of BJP in all these events, prime minister's prolonged silence in these issues has now become a huge matter of concern. Now, letters have been sent from more than 637 universities across the world, from countries like USA, UK, Australia, with the letters signed by more than 5000 students even from other nations, demanding Modi to speak up.

They have told that Modi isn't speaking against anyone in his party and against the crimes, while adding that his last response in Kashmir issue was very soft and useless. His silence can impact the democracy, said those letters. Previously there was an instance of military officials and judiciary officers demanding the prime minister to give them powers to punish crimes.
