#Indonesia Tsunami - 43 Killed and more than 600 were injured - SHOCKING VIDEO INSIDE
National Disaster Agency Spokesperson has reported that 43 People were killed and 584 people were injured as a Tsunami has struck Indonesia. This Tsunami in Indonesia was caused by a Volcano. Many buildings were destroyed by the Tsunami as the waves hit without any warning in South Sumatra and the western tip of Java about 9.30 pm local time.
Officials report that the Tsunami has been triggered by an abnormal tidal surge due to a New Moon. Indonesia's Geological Agency said, "The death toll would increase and the wave was not a Tsunami, but a tidal surge. We urge the public not to panic."
The International Tsunami Information Centre said such Volcanic eruptions can cause Tsunamis and this happens due to the sudden displacement of water or slope failure. Indonesia is one of the disaster-prone places as the tectonic plates collide and as a result earthquakes occur in large numbers. Recently, in the city of Palu on Sulawesi island, an earthquake and Tsunami killed 1000's of people.
