Chandrababu Fails To Stop Yatra on TV
Chandrababu Naidu seems to be scared of anything and everything in this election season. After successfully stopping Lakshmi's NTR release in Andhra Pradesh through the high court, he unsuccessfully tried to stall the Television Premiere of Yatra — YSR Biopic on Star Maa which was scheduled for tomorrow evening.
Citing that is being telecast three days before the elections for political benefit, TDP wanted to stop at any cost and complained to the Election Commission but the reply has shocked the Cycle Party. The Commission has referred the movie to Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC).
The committee has clarified that the telecast of commercial films on Television and Cinema Theaters cannot be restrained as per the guidelines. So, the Election Commission also clarified that this does not come under the violation of the Model Code of Conduct. So, the film will be screened tomorrow as is.
