Telangana Household Survey becomes a joke!

Looking at how the common man of Telangana State especially the elderly are standing in hot sun in long queues to get registered for the Food Security Cards for the poor, one can only wonder what happened to the intense household survey conducted by TS in August. The latest application procedures for Food Security Cards and pension schemes for old age, widows and physically handicapped is only testing the patience of common man. People are asking what has happened to the information gathered by the State Government by means of the Intensive Household Survey. With the government still not completely the digitization and analysing the information gathered through HIS, the deserving eligible beneficiaries for ration cards and pensions, are facing a harrowing time with brokers demanding Rs. 100 to fill the forms. The disturbing reports that IHS has only remained on paper and the government has failed to even cover 20 per cent of households in Telangana is bringing criticism to KCR and his government not to mention the spate of farmer suicides!
