First Prime Minister of Independent India,Jawahar Lal Nehru, always invites opinion in support and against for the role he played in the country's freedom struggle and subsequent political decisions. 


Right from the beginning Nehru and Gandhi family data-faced criticism for their actions in trying to marginalise other freedom fighters and also belittle their contributions.

Earlier there were reports that Nehru Government spied on Subhash Chandra Bose, founder of Indian National Army, Azad Hind Fouz and this continued for decades on his family even after independence.


Nehru's relations with Sardar Patel too were not good and both had many difference of opinions. Many feel it was Nehru who prevented Patel from solving Kashmir problem even after he united many states into Indian Union.


Now in another startling revelation, it is coming out that Nehru conspired to prevent Rajendra Prasad from becoming the first President of India. Book written by RNP.Singh former intelligence officer revealed that Nehru resorted to desperate measures and even indulged in blatant lying.

The book titled Nehru-A Troubled Legacy was published by Wisdom Tree and it carried out letters of Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru, Patel and others. Nehru on 10th September, 1949 wrote to Rajendra Prasad that he and Sardara Patel decided in favour of C.Rajagopalachari to be the first Preisdent of India.
