On 22 May 1878, that is, on this day, an important personality in the world of wrestling was born. google is also celebrating the 144th birthday of that personality today. A special google Doodle has been created for this. The name of this person is – Gama Pehalwan. It is said that in his 52-year career, Gama wrestler never lost to anyone in the world. Many big wrestlers used to withdraw from playing the match just after hearing his name. Know some more interesting things related to the life of this celebrity-


Wrestling started at the age of 10:

Born on May 22, 1878, in a village in Amritsar, Gama Pehalwan is also known as Great Gama. His real name was Ghulam Mohammad Baksh. Gama Pehalwan initially learned wrestling tricks from the famous 'Wrestler Madho Singh' of punjab and started his learning curve at the age of 10. After this, Maharaja Bhavani Singh of Datia in madhya pradesh gave him facilities to do wrestling. By the year 1947, Gama Pehalwan had illuminated the name of india in the whole world with his talent. 


As much as Gama worked hard in wrestling, his diet was also the same. It is said that it is very difficult for the common man to digest the food that Gama used to eat. According to reports, Gama's diet consisted of 6 desi chicken, 10 liters of milk, half a kilo of ghee, and 100 Rotis.


Gama Pehalwan is also known as 'Rustom-e-Hind'. He used to do 5000 sittings and more than 1000 pushups in a day. According to reports, he had made his body with stone dumbbells. It is said that Gama Pehalwan once lifted a 1200 kg stone and performed the feat of walking some distance. Gama was also greatly influenced by the famous martial artist Bruce Lee.
