The recent incident involving a wife's demand for alcohol and meat daily as a condition to return home has stirred interest and sparked discussions. The couple at the centre of the controversy is Chirag and Neha Jain from Banswara, Rajasthan. Chirag lodged a complaint alleging significant behavioural changes in Neha post their marriage in june 2023.According to the complaint, Neha began spending excessive time on phone calls and ignored objections from her in-laws regarding alcohol consumption at home. Subsequently, she left for her hometown. In a bid to reconcile with her husband, Neha presented a new condition - she would only consider returning to her in-laws' residence if provided with daily supplies of liquor and non-vegetarian food.
Feeling exasperated by the situation, Chirag opted to take legal recourse, prompting the police to register an FIR. The local Kushalgarh police station is currently conducting an investigation into the matter and offering counseling and warnings to both parties involved.
The incident has garnered local attention and evoked humorous responses due to the unusual nature of the demand. Such peculiar demands often lead to legal interventions, underscoring the complexities of marital disputes and the necessity for effective resolution mechanisms.
