Is there anything like 'Enlightment' ?
Recently 'The Huffington Post' posted a blog with the title "There no such thing as enlightenment". In the blog, Katie said, "People think that they need to get ‘enlightened’ in order to be free, and nobody knows what enlightenment is.
It is just a concept and it is story of past. The truth is that there's no such thing as enlightenment. No one is permanently enlightened. that would be the story of a future." So is that true ? Is enlightenment just a concept ? We can't say the answer because it is highly complicated.
Enlightenment has always been an inward journey. There are various levels of enlightenment and how do they look like ? None of them knew. Everything is just an experience.
It’s a step in the path toward getting in control of one’s thoughts, feelings and actions. It’s a concept that is definitely freeing. But we can't leave Katie's views as it is. They also have a point. We need to analyze. We need to have spiritual growth any way.
