Pancha Bhoota Sthalams representing the element of earth, was beautifully decorated with flowers, traditional garlands, vibrant lights, and ornate temple umbrellas. Rituals began early in the morning with special poojas, abhishekams, and Vedic chanting, creating a deeply spiritual atmosphere.As the Thirukalyana Utsavam commenced, priests performed the ceremonial wedding according to ancient Agama traditions. Devotees gathered in large numbers to witness the auspicious event, believing that attending the divine marriage brings blessings of prosperity, harmony, and marital happiness.The entire temple premises echoed with
nadaswaram music, devotional hymns, and chants of “Om Namah Shivaya,” adding to the festive splendor. Many devotees offered
mangalya archanai and special prayers seeking divine grace.Temple authorities had made extensive arrangements to manage the heavy crowd, including separate queues, drinking water facilities, and additional security. Despite the large turnout, the event proceeded smoothly, and devotees were able to have a peaceful darshan of the deities.The Thirukalyana Utsavam at Ekambaranathar temple remains one of the most cherished festivals in kanchipuram, drawing pilgrims from across tamil Nadu and other states.
