IPL2022 - Here is a new rule before the mega-auction!
While fans will be keen to watch the indian Premier League, which has been halted, restart in the UAE, franchisees may be thinking forward. The IPL mega auctions will take place in 2022, with clubs aiming to identify a new core, fresh variations, and much more. According to the news reports, each franchise is allowed to keep four players. Teams can keep three indian players and one international player, or two domestic and two international players.
Some players may enjoy the prospect of not being hired and will seek out the auction pool. This is due to an increase in the compensation pool and the addition of two additional clubs. As a result, there will be a scramble for talent. A few of India's top players are expected to submit their entries for the auction. The huge auction is supposed to take place in 2021, but due to a mess scheduling of the auction has been postponed until 2022.
"We have still not publicly discussed the base pricing for the new teams. IPL franchises are a wonderful investment that has paid off handsomely for the early investors. My personal opinion is that this will be no less than 2000 crores, but as I previously stated, no official discussions on the base price have taken place in the BCCI." said a top bcci official. Reports also suggest that the adani group has also have shown interest.
