James Pattinson has retired from International Crciket
Pattinson first appeared in australia in 2011 alongside David Warner and Mitchell Starc. Pattinson last played for australia in a Test match against new zealand in Sydney in january 2020, before being ruled out due to a leg and knee injury. Pattinson last appeared in a One-Day international (ODI) against england in Leeds in 2015. After that, he just played Test matches and did not play ODIs.
Pattinson played in the IPL t20 for the kolkata Knight Riders in 2013 and the mumbai Indians in 2020. Following the untimely departure of mumbai Indians player Malinga during the 2020 season, Pattinson was added. Due to a series of ailments, Pattinson has announced his retirement from international cricket.
"I was ready in advance for the Ashes series," he told the cricket website in an interview with an Australian magazine. But I was injured so badly that I couldn't fully prepare. If I participated in the Ashes series in this condition, I would not be able to act fairly. My health is not 100 percent, and I am unable to bat or bowl. As a result, I am unable to be honest with my staff."
