November 30th, 2021 was the last day to submit the retained players for the IPL 2022. The IPL's eight franchises can retain a maximum of four players with a maximum of three indian players and two overseas players and two from uncapped Indians. The franchise took the option of retention with the chennai Super Kings, delhi Capitals, mumbai Indians, kolkata Knight Riders who retained four players each. sun Risers Hyderabad, royal challengers Bangalore, and rajasthan Royals have retained three players, and punjab Kings who are having an issue with KL rahul have retained two players each. CSK's Jadeja, mumbai Indians' Rohit Sharma, and delhi Capitals' Rishab pant may get a salary of 16 crore Rs each.
These three players will get the highest salary of IPL. ms dhoni has stepped down and agreed to a pay cut with 12 crores Rs. Many of his fans tweeted as the team first always for MS Dhoni.

 RCB's virat kohli will get a salary of 15 crore Rs. SRH's Kane Williamson and sanju samson will receive Rs. 14 crores each as salary.
