Following this, bcci announced that rohit sharma is ruled out and gave bumrah the captaincy.
With this, bumrah will act as the 36th Test captain of the indian team. After kapil dev in 1986, a fast bowler became the captain of the indian Test team. And wicketkeeper rishabh pant has been appointed as the vice-captain of the indian Test team.
After this, many fans are congratulating Bumrah. bumrah has said that this is the biggest honor he has received in his lifetime. In this situation, rohit sharma is the main reason why the indian team took a 2-1 lead in the england Test series.
In the england Test series, rohit sharma is the highest run-scorer. It was Rohit and KL rahul who saved India's glory last year. The absence of both of them is considered a huge setback for the indian team. This is the 6th new captain for the indian team this year alone.
