The indian team played against the netherlands in the second match of the 20 Over World Cup. Knowing that there is no chance of rain in Sydney, captain rohit sharma won the toss and elected to bat. KL Rahul, who lost his early wicket against Pakistan, also got out as LBW. Realizing that this wicket would be a setback for the indian team, captain rohit sharma formed an alliance with king Kohli. The alliance played slowly till 10 overs and started to show action beyond that.
Rohit Sharma in particular was serious about batting as he faced more balls. As a result, he was determined to beat whoever came. Although he missed a couple of shots, he scored 53 runs off 39 balls. It includes 3 sixers. After Rohit's departure, the indian team's performance went to another level.
Suryakumar Yadav, who came to the field, teamed up with kohli and sent the netherlands balls flying. Befitting his title as India's AB de Villiers, he hit the ball to all sides of the ground and became a headache for the Dutch team. At the other end, virat kohli scored 62 runs off 44 balls, while Suryakumar Yadav, who played aggressively, scored 51 runs off 25 balls. As a result, the indian team scored 179 runs in 20 overs losing only 2 wickets.
As well as setting a challenging score in batting, the indian team also performed well in bowling. Due to this, the netherlands team was bowled out for 123 runs at the end of 20 overs. The indian team won by 56 runs and went to first place in the points table. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep, Axar, and Ashwin took 2 wickets each. Although currently at the top of the points table, only defeat against south africa can ensure a semi-final spot.
