Rs 125 crore
prize money for
t20 Worldcup winning team..!!
bcci Secretary Jay Shah has surprised the entire
cricket world by giving a
prize money of Rs 125 crore to the
indian team that won the
t20 World Cup. This is more than the
prize money awarded by the ICC to all teams. The
indian cricket team has not won the
t20 world cup even once since 2007. Not only that, after the 2013 Champions Trophy,
india has not won an ICC series even once. In this situation,
india went to the finals and semi-finals several times and lost. Thus all the fans were longing to hear the
news of
india winning the
world cup again. They were worried that no other captain would win this
world cup after Dhoni.
It is in this condition that the
indian team led by
rohit sharma has won the
t20 World Cup. Jay Shah, the secretary of
bcci, is very excited about this. Commenting on this on social media, he said, "he is extremely happy to announce the
prize money of 125 crore rupees to the
indian team that won the
t20 World Cup. Also praising the
indian team, Jay Shah praised that every player has shown their ability and inspiration and said that he would like to congratulate all the coaches and other experts in the
indian team.
Jay Shah's
prize money has surprised the entire
cricket world. The ICC, which conducts the
t20 world cup, has announced a
prize money of 91 crore rupees for this series. But the
bcci has announced many times more amount to the
indian team. In 2007, the
bcci gave USD 3 million when the
indian team won the
t20 World Cup. It would have been around 10 to 12 crore rupees in
indian rupees at that time. For the 2011 World Cup-winning
indian team, the then
bcci chief first announced Rs 1 crore per player and later increased it to Rs 2 crore. A separate
prize of Rs 50 lakh was also given to the coaches. But now the
indian team who won the
t20 world cup has got 125 crore rupees. Through this, each player is expected to get Rs 6-7 crore each.
