Cricket lovers need no special introduction about the former captain of the indian cricket team, Muhammad Azharuddin. Born in hyderabad in the year 1963, Muhammad Azharuddin studied at All Saints High school and obtained his B.Com degree from Nizam College. Azharuddin was praised for his unique cricket playing style. Azharuddin started his career as a cricketer with a test match held in the month of december 1984. In the year 2000, bcci banned Azharuddin for match-fixing. But in 2012, the court lifted the ban on Azharuddin. But Azharuddin, who excelled as a cricketer, also gained a special identity for himself in politics.
He contested from Moradabad division in UP and won the election with a majority of 49,107. Having lost in the 2014 elections, he is away from contesting in the 2019 elections. In the second list announced by the congress for the 2023 telangana Legislative assembly elections, Azharuddin was announced as the candidate of the congress Jubilee Hills. Azharuddin has been selected as the President of the delhi Badminton Association (DBA). Azhar divorced his first wife Naureen and married actress Sangeeta Bijlani. He had two children with his first wife, one of whom, Ayazuddin, died of injuries on 11 september 2011 in a bike accident near Puppalaguda on the Outer Ring Road. Azharuddin has a large number of fans, but there are also many people who criticize him. It must be said that Azharuddin also left his mark in politics.
