Bangladeshi cricket fan Rabi-ul-Islam, known as tiger Robi, has been sent back to bangladesh after a controversial incident during the second Test match between india and bangladesh in Kanpur. Robi initially claimed he was assaulted by fans at the Green Park Stadium, but later revised his statement.
According to officials, Robi, who suffers from metastatic cancer, had entered india on a medical visa for treatment but instead attended the cricket match. Additional DCP Rajesh Kumar Srivastava stated that authorities facilitated his return to bangladesh as per his wishes.
Robi was escorted to Chakeri airport by police and was monitored until his flight departed for Delhi. He then took a flight to Dhaka and was not permitted to leave the airport premises.

On the first day of the Test, he was seen waving flags in the stadium but later fell ill. police officials reported that he was found gasping for breath and lost consciousness before they could assist him. He was taken to Regency Hospital and discharged later that evening.
